Submission Guidelines

The submission guidelines are simple, technical. All you need is a piece or series of pieces that are in RGB and 72 dpi. That’s it. If it’s too big, count on us, we’ll make it smaller for ya’, and anything big enough to see should be all right.
As for our Posting guidelines…well, it’s still pretty loose for folks out there who can actually DRAW. That’s right. If you suck, we won’t post you.
See, my friends and I, well, we’re gettin’ a touch tired of seeing “work” scribbled in Rose Art colored pencils depicting favorite comic and TV characters doin’ each other. The drawings (if you can call them that) are usually SO bad that you can figure that the sex in them is bad, too, and that just gives sex a bad name.
Shame, shame. None of that.
Also, folks who think they are drawing “Manga” or “Anime” style almost always aren’t. See, we respect hard work here at DHT. In Japan, folks go to school for years to do the work that silly teenage girls emulate badly. It really is a surprisingly subtle and intricate school of drawing. If you’re gonna draw “Anime” it had better be beautiful. If you shame or insult it with your badness, we won’t post you.
All work done with a love for the work and not just of posting it so you can pretend to special, We Will Post It… even if it has naked Boobs!!
Ah yes, Boobs. Let’s talk about Boobs for a second. Now, we all know the difference between smut and porn. Smut is O.K., but Porn is definitely out. If you drew it to jack-off to, we won’t post it. That goes for penis too. As far as nudity goes, in general, it had better be directly linked to the story or it had better be funny. Otherwise keep it in your goody drawer to be used only when your roommates are out.
Next there is the gore. We love gore here at DHT, but it really does give some folks nightmares and we want all kinds (except BAD kinds) to feel free to browse and submit. If you just gotta, please use it as sparingly as you can. It will come down to a vote from our founders, but we’re pretty cool about it, so don’t worry.
Lastly there is the swearing. I, personally, love to swear so bring it on! Please don’t feel like you have to use swearing in order to be “cool” or acceptable here. We love fluffy, cute shit just as much as we love violent, awful shit. Just know that language will not be censored (social commentary included).
So yeah, we’re kinda dicks about kicking folks off who aren’t “up to snuff,” but other than that…it’s pretty loose. You can have nudity, swearing, blood, cannibalism but also ponies and rainbows. As for skill level, I’m posting some of my own drawings so you can see that even that is pretty loose. I’m not really that good, and all we’re asking from you is to please just be better than me. So show me up! I fuckin’ Dare ya!

Submission Specs
- Save as .jpg or .png
- Color mode: RGB
- Make sure it’s saved large enough to read if it has text (we can make them smaller, but NOT larger and we prefer that they are not wider than 1024px)
- 72 DPI
- Name file as you would like to be credited (ex. shayne-trozdol.jpg)
- Include in email: title of art, link to your site, if applicable, and your name and a short little bit about the work or about yourself
